“I’m Sarri Hadid and this is your nightly news.”

A woman in a floral-print dress sat behind a desk, facing the camera. Her mocha-colored hair and Middle Eastern genetics burst through the television screen in a smattering of color. There was a confidence in her that solicited trust, but a sophisticated smirk and shift to a secondary camera that kept the programming viewership attentive. 

“Recent polls suggest the upcoming Democratic Primary is too close to call after last week’s heated debate. The favorite to win—the senator from Rhode Island, Trisha London—has lost her sizable lead to the populist newcomer, Jarvis Kranz, who has taken the political sphere by storm since he announced his campaign on Your News Tonight at the beginning of the year,” she said.
