Harrison stared at the ceiling from the middle of his double-sized bed, half-covered by plain white sheets and a balled-up comforter. The puddle of sweat at the small of his back had heated to body temperature, but it squished as he turned from one shoulder to the other. Trying to find a comfortable position was harder than he thought it would be. No matter how many times he pulled the sheets from the corners of the mattress, they clung to his damp shins and forced bouts of claustrophobia that kept his eyes more than open, more like wide and agitated.
The alarm chimed from the nightstand–5:53AM.
