“Dorian? Dorian Gray? As in the book?”
It was Harvey’s turn to pace the room. Demar stepped forward, his overhanging sleeves dangling below the curve of his elbows.
“The name has special meaning to us,” he said. “It’s a reminder.”
“Of what?” Harvey asked.
“Of the life we sacrificed,” Demar answered. He approached Harvey, peering into Kranz’s eyes. “In order to truly understand where we’ve been and what we’ve done, you must first open your mind. You must be willing to accept a truth that reeks of a lie.”
He stepped closer, the points of their noses nearly touching.
“Are you willing to stay in Wonderland?”
